december women of ambient 🌀
and my new EP!
And just like that, we’ve arrived at the final women of ambient of 2025. With next year marking five years since this project began, I want to thank everyone who has joined me along the way. I say it often, but it remains true that I’ve never once run out of music to add to this mix series. I could have easily made this month’s edition 50 tracks long with how much incredible music is being released, but I stretched to 14 tracks because I couldn’t just keep it to 10.
For December’s selections head to the Bandcamp playlist first and then the accompanying playlist versions (Tidal, Amazon Music, Apple + Spotify) which feature the occasional songs not available on BC. Thanks for listening, sharing + supporting!
I have exciting things in the works for next year, and am looking forward to sharing them in the months ahead. Also, I will be taking a pause from cloud collecting interviews this month and from the women of ambient mix in January. See you in the second week of the new year with an exciting first cloud collecting interview of the year. Sending warmth and gratitude to all of you.

I just released morning will come, a new EP of collected songs from early 2023 to early 2025. Releasing something at the end of the year has become my way of saying thank you, and this offering is a little love letter to the community. The 6 songs move through nostalgia, renewal, and love and I hope you can feel all of that when you listen. I will be hosting a Bandcamp listening party on December 4th at 10am PST for those of you want to join and hear the background behind the songs. You can RSVP for that here. Would love to connect with you there!
Also, wanted to shout out Dusty Henry for the release of his 33 1/3 Genre Series book, 20th Century Ambient. I am almost done with it and this is a must read for any ambient and electronic lover (which I think most of us here are). I am sure I will have more to say on this up ahead, but as the daughter of comic book store owners (since I was 5), I love the addition of comics spread throughout the book alongside interviews and history. A perfect gift for yourself and others this time of year. Find it all sorts of places, but there is a sale on Bloomsbury right now.

Wow thank you so much, Cynthia! Had no idea you grew up around comics! So rad. Appreciate the kind words and hope you enjoy the rest of the book. Also, psyched to see Raica here. One of Seattle’s best!
Thanks for this list, reliably great music as always. Now I'm addicted to Slow Blink
